Got the crockpot going today with a pork loin roast in it along with sauerkraut, onions, bay leaves and Brussels sprouts. (didn't have any cabbage so brussel sprouts are my substitute "go to".)

It really is delish, Deb.

The long cooking and pork broth really mellows out the sauerkraut. The broth ends up having a "tang" to it, but it isn't sour.
Sometimes I'll even use Bavarian Saurkraut because it is sweeter and has caraway seeds in it for extra flavor. (Love THAT one on hotdogs, kielba...
