Hi I’m wanting to join clan Drummond as my grandfathers patriarchal side goes back to drummonds all the way back to 1030s, we are currently browns, as in the late 1700s a new born baby was named David...Hi I’m wanting to join clan Drummond as my grandfathers patriarchal side goes back to drummonds all the way back to 1030s, we are currently browns, as in the late 1700s a new born baby was named David John Drummond Brown, by his father Edward Drummond , and by 1801 after not being able to fight in the court systems in London to gain his grandfathers lands back, and his wife and a daughter sadly dying, he was given the opportunity to migrate to Australia with a land grant near Parramatta.
I guess the poor guy needed a fresh start with his kids, and the state of Scotland, and lose of opportunities after Culloden, would have been devastating. I guess his decision is the reason i am here and exist.

Although back in 1750, (from memory) a surname change to Brown randomly cam about so the lines all the...Hi I’m new here, I’ve been tracing my grandfathers patriarchal lines back to Scotland, Drummonds. Although back in 1750, (from memory) a surname change to Brown randomly cam about so the lines all the way to me are brown, only changed when mum married my dad.
Ive traced my lines back to 1030s. From Dukes,Earls all sorts we seem to be.
