I just found this site...I have always been told that all Smiths were a part of Clan MacPherson. For that reason I've been using/wearing my MacPherson Tartan outfit all over the world. For that reason I've been using/wearing my MacPherson Tartan outfit all over the world. My dad, James Forbes (Andrew) Smith, was born in Bannockburn, 20Dec1909. His father was James Smith, KIA in France in WWI. My grandmother was Georgina Burns. So, do I need to get rid of my MacPherson items, and acquire Smith replacements? (I'm certainly proud of my Scottish ancestry!)
