The Spray-n-Grow stuff is mixed with water in a spray container and doesn't seem to affect the leaves at all. It is true that you should not water in the center(crown) of the violet. That will possibly kill the violet. The fertilizer is great and you really don't have to use the Spray-n-Grow, but...

WOW, there is so much to learn. I was never the one with the green thumb in the family, but this plant means a lot to me. I did find the fertilizer you recommend at the feed and garden store. I probably need to re-pot it too. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for all the advise.
