My Grandfather was John Douglas Fleming and he immigrated to Australia in his early 20's. His parents, my GGparebts lived in Carluke. They were James Fleming and Margaret Douglas. I visited my Great Uncle Andrew Fleming in Edinburgh in 1978 and he was 96 years old but was the spitting image if my Dad, James Fleming. Great Uncle Andrew told me to visit my relatives in Carluke and mentioned a Robert Fleming however I was just a teenager and a little shy so I never got around to doing it much to my regret. My Dad stayed with his Fleming relatives during WW2 as he was in the RAAF and based in Scotland. I would love to hear from any relatives from Carluke or who are related to me in any way. Cheers Robyn.ߙ

My Fleming relatives all come from the Lanarkshire area. My Grandfather John Douglas Fleming came out to Australia about 1910.He was born at Carluke where his parents still loved- James Fleming and Margaret Douglas. My father was the eldest son and was named James Fleming. I never changed my name when I married so I remain Robyn Fleming.
