By the time the family got that message on their farm in Kansas and was able to send someone to Scotland to claim the inheritance, too much time had gone by and it had gone to the crown. I was wondering how accurate the story might be and what castle we missed out on. My grandmother's name was Edith Anne Montgomery, but I do not know her father's name.
