We are delighted that this year's St Donan's Day Dinner will be held in the magnificent Castle Club at Edinburgh Castle on Saturday 20th April 2013. There will be a Champagne drinks reception at 7.00pm, followed by dinner at 7.45pm. Tickets are priced at £45/head which includes the Champagne reception and wine with the meal. However, numbers are limited and we therefore have to operate on a strict first come first served basis.
The weekend will start with a light supper on Friday 19th at the Edinburgh Larder in Alva Street for those that can make it up in time. We will meet at 7.30pm and Clan members should pay for themselves separately on the night.
The Saturday morning and afternoon will be free for sightseeing although there will be Council and Heritage Trust meetings on Saturday morning (for those involved).
On the Sunday morning, we have arranged a trip to Mary King's Close, a hidden street buried beneath Edinburgh's Royal Mile which remains largely unchanged since the 17th Century. It is not suitable for those who find stairs difficult to negotiate. We will follow this with a light lunch for those that wish, which will be paid at the time.
