Perth Kilt Run - World Record Attempt
Perth will once again attempt to break the world record for most runners in Kilts when the Perth Kilt Run returns on Saturday 10 August 2013.
The event will once again take place in and around the beautiful North Inch Parklands in the heart of the city.
This year the event is open to all ages and will be a shorter distance of 5k making it more accessible for a much wider group. We hope to significantly surpass last year's numbers of just under 1100 and break the record currently held by our twin town of Perth Ontario.
This year the council has partnered with Perth Highland Games to make it the busiest weekend of the year for the city. The Kilt Run will take place on Saturday with the highland games taking place on the Sunday thus providing two fantastic days of sport and culture for all the family to enjoy.
The 2013 Kilt Run website will go live shortly containing route details and information on how to enter.
