10th International Clan Munro Gathering 2014

The Munros/Monroes invite you to their Clan Gathering, whatever your name. At this long established friendly event, enjoy historic Highland settings, the tartan, traditional and modern Scottish music, local food and drink, and an exciting programme of activities.

A Clan Gathering is a unique experience. It brings together all that makes a visit to the Scottish Highlands so memorable. The traditional and popular Scottish music and dancing has something for everyone.

The optional two day programme includes, as well as music, historic re-enactments, displays like tossing the caber, an exhibition and chance to savour local food and drink, and chidren's sports. You can take a guided hill walk on the scenic local "Ben"; visit Historic Scotland's Fort George and its newly reopened military museum; and join in a grand dinner with entertainment and dancing.

The Munros/Monroes have been doing it for over half a century at their castle in the heart of the Highlands. Above all our Gathering is fun! Young or old, Munro or not, Scottish or not, you will love the show of tartan and traditional dress in the clan's ancient castle.
