Masters World Championships Highland Games (Inverness)

To celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the opening of the world's oldest Highland Games Stadium at Northern Meeting Park in Inverness; the Masters World Championships (MWC2014) is being staged on the banks of the River Ness.

Contested by a world record number of 190 heavies aged 40 years or over from 13 countries; MWC2014 will see 13 World Championships contested over 3 days as part of a feast of traditional sport in the Highland Capital.

The first two days of MWC2104 (Friday 12th and Saturday 13th September) will be staged in Bught Park before the show moves along the banks of the River Ness to Northern Meeting Park on Saturday to Northern Meeting Park itself for a spectacular finale following the Kirking of the Council Parade through the streets of Inverness.
