Conference - The Global Migrations of the Scottish People since 1600
Booking is now open for the Global Migrations conference, the 'most ambitious ever' organised on the subject. The aim of the conference is to present 'state of the art' research on the Scottish diaspora in a form geared to a general audience, while still maintaining the highest academic standards.
The conference, which will take place from 4 to 6 July at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, is billed as one of the highlights of the 2014 Homecoming festival. This is a free event, but tickets must be booked in advance.
Speakers will include Professor Tom Devine, Sir William Fraser, David Forsyth, Baroness Liddell of Coatdyke and Professor Angela McCarthy.
