His grandmother had told him stories of our ancestors who came from the Lands of Lee, and he promised her if he ever had the chance, he would visit and so he did. Not only did he visit Lee Castle, he was asked by Simon Foster McDonald Lockhart, XXVII to spend the night! My father actually held the Lee Penny of Walter Scott's The Talisman fame. My father passed away two years ago and until his last days, he talked of his Scottish heritage. (My grandmother was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and had traced our heritage back to Lt. Col. Samuel Lockhart and further all the way back to the Scottish Lockharts! Glad to be a member of this group!

My grandson is gathering information for a school power point presentation on Scotland. Because of our connection to the Lockhart clan, he thought it would be interesting to choose the land of Scotland. Would it be ok if he used a picture of the Lockhart plaid and crest in his power point? We wanted to get permission before doing anything. Thank you for your consideration.
