Josh to koow the McColl's first you need to find out which group, The McColls from Lock Fyne or the McColls from up north that followed the Stewart's of Appin I've seen old documents from the1800sthat...Josh to koow the McColl's first you need to find out which group, The McColls from Lock Fyne or the McColls from up north that followed the Stewart's of Appin I've seen old documents from the1800sthat showed McColls living on Stewart land.As for me my Grandparents came from Ardrishaig on Lock Fyne.I've only recently found out about the deep connection between the Stewart's and McColl's thanks to a fellow by the name of Randy Stewart,It was Randy that showed me the documents,I met him in Victoria BC when I was there to compete in the highland games this year .As it turns out he recently received a large number of letters and documents from a Mary McColl in the U.S.I'm hopeing to have a look at them in the near future.Now I know all of this doesn't you much with the poem that your trying to write but if your interested in the family history this might be a bit of a help. By the way check out the connection between the Campbells and McColls the Campbells are the reason that we found ourselves at odds with the MacPhersons best of luck .
