Her parents we...Hi there, My name is Keith Oliphant & I have been doing a lot of Family History/Genealogy. My Grandmother was Martha Gibson McKay b 1883 in Riccarton Junction, Castleton, Roxburghshire. Her parents were James McKay b 1849-1930 & Annie McKay b 1844-1896. James Mother was Margaret MacKay (No Father Found) born in Peebles Area. Annie'a parents were John McKay & Robina Crum married in Carnwath, Lanarkshire, then moved to Edinburgh where Robina dissapears.. James & Annie were 1st cousins which makes John & Margaret siblings but this is my stumbling block as I cannot find at the moment the link between the two on any pages in Ancestry & Scotlands People... If any McKay/MacKay has any records they wish to share, then please give me a shout.. Thanks & Keep up the good work here...
