Beginning to feel optimistic about this year's highland games season. I sent out my Clan registration for the Maine Highland Games in August (back at Thomas Point Beach in Brunswick this year) and a new festival (for me) in Old Orchard Beach, Maine(in Veterans Memorial Park opposite the AMTRAK station)on June 5th. If anyone is in the area stop by the tent and say hello!

New Hampshire Games are officially cancelled for this year. The only one left now in New England are the Scotland CT games. They're not until October so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Been away for a while. Life gets in the way of everything I guess. Any way, I'm surviving in lockdown although many games that I usually attend have been cancelled. The Rhode Island games folded last year and Glasgow Lands (MA) and the Maine Games are called off because of the COVID19 virus. No word yet on Quechee VT. I sent out the registrations for New Hampshire in September and Scotland CT in October hoping they will go on as scheduled. Hope everyone is good health. Stay safe.

I do wish that ScotClans and other websites would make the appropriate updates to show Clan Thompson as a clan in its own right as recognized by the Lyon Court with arms granted to Clan Thompson International as the only recognized representative of the name. We were recognized as a clan as early as 1547 and named separately along with Clan MacThomas in the same document with them in the highlands and us in the borders. DENY US NOT! Its been six years now people, get with the program.
