Michael Alec Moore
I am a retired US Air Force Chaplain (retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 26 years) and currently serving as pastor of Presbyterian Community Church of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado. I am 3/4 Scots (maternal grandfather Agnew, maternal grandmother Creelman (mom is Canadian by birth) and paternal grandmother Fleming). The remaining quarter is a bit of a mystery but to the best of my knowledge the Moore branch is Scots-Irish via Tennessee. I was fortunate to have two UK tours during my time in the Air Force -- 94-97 near Oxford (RAF Croughton) and 05-08 near Cambridge (RAF Mildenhall). Was able to make three trips to Scotland during my first tour and actually got to set foot on Agnew land with my mother and son in 1995 when we visited Lochnaw Castle near Stranraer. My wife Denise and I look forward to a return trip at some point on a pilgrimage as a part of our Certificate of Christian Spiritual Formation via Columbia Theological Seminary. We spent our honeymoon in Ireland in 2014.
