Randy, thank you for your input of the Cherokee chief John Ross. I've read a bit about him, but don't think it's him. Not sure. There were 3 John Ross's that fought and lost in Scotland and were sent to America to be slaves in the new world. II've emailed with a Robert Ross whose ancestor was John Ross of Malden and he's sure I'm not related to that one. He is one of the three. Thank you for your interest and I'll keep on searching. I have (had) relatives in Lucerne Co., PA and in New Jersey.
