Clan Walkinshaw People

Tom Walkinshaw (14 August 1946 – 12 December 2010) was a racing car driver from Penicuik in Midlothian. He started racing in 1968 and had quite a successful career in both Touring and Sportscar racing. In 1976 he founded his own racing team, Tom Walkinshaw Racing, and the company worked with some of the world's leading drivers over the years.
Walkinshaw was also involved in professional rugby, having been the chairman for Gloucester Rugby club in his latter years.

 

Clementina Maria Sophia Walkinshaw (1720–1802) was the mistress of Bonnie Prince Charlie and mother of his illegitimate daughter, Charlotte Stuart.
Clementina was the youngest daughter of John Walkinshaw of Barrowhill (1671–1731) who was a Jacobite, supporting James Francis Edward Stuart, 'the Old Pretender'. John Walkinshaw fought at the Battle of Sheriffmuir in 1715, where he was captured, but he managed to escape to Stirling Castle before fleeing to the mainland continent.
